As lead UX/UI designer for First Direct's public website redesign, I took the challenge of transforming a static, fixed-width site into a dynamic, modern experience that served two key purposes: promoting First Direct’s banking products to potential customers and providing existing customers with the essential information they need for daily banking.

The previous site had a cluttered design with too much content that didn’t resonate with users. After a thorough content audit, we streamlined and refined the design, simplifying it through multiple iterations to better meet customer needs and create a more cohesive experience.

The redesign not only aligned with First Direct’s brand and mobile banking vision but also delivered a tailored experience for diverse user needs.

The project involved crafting a flexible, modular set of components that empowered content teams to build pages with clear, accessible information, while keeping the design visually engaging and non-repetitive.

We continuously refine the design, component structure, messaging, and content based on real-time insights from customer feedback and live data. This iterative process allows us to adapt quickly, ensuring the site remains relevant, user-friendly, and impactful for our audience.

The end result was a responsive, user-friendly website that reflects First Direct's innovative spirit and serves its customers with clarity and style.
